Roger Waters Tour

Roger Waters has indicated that he intends to play one Pink Floyd tune with David Gilmour, former band member, at a live performance sometime in 2011.

The European stretch of his The Wall Live tour begins on May 11.

The highly entertaining performance, which is reminiscent of Pink Floyd’s 1980-81 tour ‘The Wall,’ is set to play six concerts at London O2 Arena. These concerts are set for May 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, and 18. The tour will then move to the Manchester MEN Arena for dates on May 20 and May 21.

Waters stated, “I think it’s beginning to look now as if he’ll [Gilmour] do one gig. He’ll do ‘Comfortably Numb’ at one gig. It’s a big secret when.”

Sky News interviewed Waters and was told that the tour is probably going to be the final time he will do something this elaborate. The set features a 240 foot by 35 foot wall that gets destroyed during the performance.

Waters said, “Constructing something like this indoors – I’ll probably never do anything this big again, the technology of projection we’ve used in this show is breathtaking.”

He also said, “When we split up David and Nick [Mason, drummer] ended up with the name [of the band] and I ended up with ‘The Wall’ and everything to do with it and a few quid.”

In 2005, Pink Floyd got together for a short time for Live 8.

Mason indicated not too long ago that he wants the entire band to get together again for additional live performances.
