Roger Waters, co-founder of Pink Floyd, has added several new European and US dates onto his “Dark Side of the Moon” two year old tour.

It was already announced that the songwriter/singer will be headlining at Coachella musical festival on April 27 in Indio, CA. Waters’ new US dates include Denver on April 30, Dallas on May 2 and Houston on May 4. Then Waters will head overseas to perform in The Netherlands and Denmark.

On February 9, tickets will be going on sale for the Houston and Denver shows. On February 16 Dallas concert tickets will go public. Waters’ website provides information for his dates in Europe.

Waters will tour with the same act essentially that’s been on the road during the past two years. It features two sets in addition to encores. According to Columbia, his record label, it inlcudes state of the art sound, lighting and staging.

The first set contains selections from the singer’s long career, including various Pink Flloyd songs as well as material from “Amused to Death,” his solo album from 1992.

The second set features a full band along with Waters performing “Dark Side of the Moon,” Pink Floyd’s album, in its entirety. The set was first released in 1973 and stayed on Billboard’s 200 album chart for 15 record breaking years.

In 2005, Waters told Jim Ladd, radio DJ, he had been working on two solo albums. The first was tentatively titled “Heartland” with the second having a central theme of love.

Waters collaborated with Howard Shore, composed on “Hello (I Love You)”, a song for “The Last Mimzy,” the movie from 2007. The song is played during the film’s closing credits. The movie features a cast including Michael Clark, Rainn Wilson, Joely Richardson and Timothy Hutton.

Waters stated in a press release when the movie opened, I think the song captures the movie’s theme, the class between the worst and best instincts of humanity and how the innocence of a child can win over the day.
