Roger Waters, co-founder of the rock band Pink Floyd, will be returning this spring to North America, offering another round of “Dark Side of the Moon” complete performances, the Pink Floyd classic album.
Waters has been long estranged from his former band. He will be performing the same show roughly that he performed during a tour of 18 cities last year. This time Waters will visit 24 venues across North America, kicking off in West Palm Beach, FL on May 18.
According to a recent press release from Columbia Records, the upcoming shows of Waters’ will include two sets along with encores, featuring sound, lighting and staging that is state of the art.
The first set will be featuring music from Waters’ entire career, including selections from his days as the primary songwriter for Pink Floyd and songs from “Amused to Death,” his solo album.
The second set of the show will be Waters and band in a full performance of “Dark Side of the Moon.” Originally issued in 1973, the album was on Billboard’s 200 chart for 15 years.
The band for Waters will include Andy Faithweather-Low on vocals and guitar, Dave Kilminster on vocals and guitar, Snowy White on guitar, Jon Carin on vocals and keyboards, Graham Broad on drums, Ian Richie on saxophone, Harry Waters on organ, and backing vocals from Carol Kenyon, PP Arnold and Katie Kissoon.
The classic lineup for Pink Floyd included Waters, David Gilmour on vocals and guitar, Nick Mason on the drums and Richard Wright on keyboards. They performed in 2005 together at the Live 8 Benefit show. It was the first time they had performed together since 1981.
